For several years a group of us from across Lambeth, support by members of our Methodist Circuit, have been campaigning for more affordable housing to be built in the borough. This led to our Community Land Trust project for which we were granted land owned by Tfl on Christchurch Road near the junction with Streatham Hill.

Since being awarded the land our steering group has been working with Lambeth Council and the GLA to overcome the various planning, financial and legal hurdles that lay in the way of building genuinely affordable homes, in perpetuity, for local people. Finally we are now able to work up our final plans which will be submitted for planning approval in the Spring.

To help us do this our architects are holding a public consultation. This was going to be at our church but because of new Covid restrictions it has been decided to hold this online on 18th January 2022 - 17:30 to 19:00 (Time TBC)
